Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs, and patriotic spirit to one of San Antonio’s favorite Independence Day traditions. The day begins with free fitness activities hosted by the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department, including Zumba and Water Aerobics, followed by a full day of entertainment and activities for all ages.

The celebration officially kicks off with a performance by Viva Tejanas Dance Company, showcasing Texas culture and traditions through music and dance. Throughout the day, guests can explore community vendor booths, enjoy giveaways, participate in family-friendly activities, and savor festival favorites from the food court and food truck alley, featuring BBQ, tacos, turkey legs, aguas frescas, mangonadas, chicken on a stick, and more.

Families can visit the Children’s Pavilion hosted by the San Antonio Public Library, participate in the 250th Anniversary Community Mural sponsored by Alamo City Urgent Care and Prestige Emergency Room, and stop by the Mobile FIT Truck for free health screenings. Sports fans can meet San Antonio Gunslingers players and cheerleaders, while visitors can enjoy photo opportunities and giveaways throughout the park.

Be sure to stop by the H-E-B tent to relax in the shade, enjoy giveaways, and capture memories at the photo booth. Attendees can also sign up at the San Antonio Parks Foundation tent near the main stage beginning at 10 a.m. for prize drawings and silent auction opportunities.

The AC Amusements Fourth of July Carnival returns with exciting rides and games for all ages, including favorites such as the Mind Winder, Swing Ride, and Tubs of Fun. Ride tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase onsite.

Evening entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with Ronnie T & The Cumbia All Stars, bringing their signature blend of cumbia, Tejano, and dance favorites to Woodlawn Lake Park. At 7:30 p.m., the United States Air Force Band of the West rock band takes the stage with an energetic performance featuring patriotic favorites and popular hits.

The celebration concludes with a dazzling fireworks spectacular at 9 p.m., presented by Thomas J. Henry Law, honoring America’s 250th Anniversary and lighting up the skies above Woodlawn Lake Park.
