The 5th Annual Chaparral Music & Heritage Festival is thrilled to present Asleep at the Wheel on April 22, celebrating 50 years of Western swing! Chaparral takes place at Hemisfair in downtown San Antonio, General Admission is FREE and ALL AGES.

Lounge in the shade of the biergarten, explore the food and artisan vendor market, take photos with live long horns, and learn about sustainable agriculture with educational displays and interactive activities from 12 PM – 4 PM, followed by live music on the main stage until midnight.

A limited number of Premium GA and VIP Culinary Experience tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 10th.

Supporting Asleep at the Wheel is songwriting spitfire, Sunny Sweeney; LA 45, The Texases, and one more artist TBA on 2/23!

TICKETS:

General Admission – free, all-ages, and open to the public – no ticket needed!

Premium General Admission – $25 per person

  • access to Tito’s Premium GA lounge and dedicated bar

VIP Culinary Experience (5 pm – 11 pm) – $150 per person (21+ only)

While the festival itself is free and open to the public, a limited number of VIP Culinary Experience tickets are available to 21+ patrons who wish to elevate their Chaparral experience. Under the shade of Texas oak trees, ticketed VIP guests will enjoy an on-site culinary experience curated by the award-winning 2M Smokehouse team.

In addition to complimentary food, VIP guests will enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and specialty cocktails, private seating and air-conditioned restrooms for the duration of the evening, 5 pm to 11 pm. Food service takes place 5 pm to 9 pm while the VIP bar is open until 11 pm.

VIP guests also have access to the Premium GA lounge.

SCHEDULE:

12 pm – gates open with patriotic opening! Fiesta Food Halle, Biergarten, and artisan vendor market open to all General Admission and VIP ticket holders.
12 pm – 4 pm – outdoor recreation and sustainable agriculture educational displays and interactive activities
4 pm – midnight – live music on the main stage
5 pm – 11 pm – VIP Experience

Q: What items are prohibited at the festival? A: No outside food or beverages will be permitted. No coolers. No bottles. No weapons – of any kind. All bags subject to search.
Q: Where can I park? A: There is parking available downtown and around Hemisfair on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: Can I use a ride-share? A: Yes, we encourage ride-sharing and public transportation. This is a accessible and walkable location.
Q: Can I bring my own food/drink? A: No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
