Comanche Lookout Park Outdoor Classroom

Comanche Lookout Park is a 96-acre public park and includes the fourth highest point in Bexar County with an elevation of 1,340 feet. The Cibolo floodplain lies at the base of this escarpment between the Gulf Coastal Plain and the Edwards Plateau. With a storied history, the 1994 Bond package provided $1.4 million for acquisition and development of the site. In 2003-2004, Phase 2 construction included additional parking improvements and trails, picnic and restroom facilities, landscaping, and site work. In 2004-2005, the San Antonio Parks Foundation contributed $100,000 for an outdoor classroom.
